Members of the Beano Boyz Crew started off as a dance crew competing on the first season of MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew; advancing every week before the nation’s eyes to the final stage as Status Quo and again as Legendary Seven. The show’s executive Producer Randy Jackson [of American Idol] provided the first platform for their talents to be seen on a national level.
Being from Boston, they were introduced to fellow Bostonian and music legend Michael Bivins. His close friend Terry Walker arranged a meeting between Bivins and the Boyz. Bivins was expecting to meet a dance crew, but had no idea that they would be so much more. Bivins instantly recognized their star quality, instilled his magical blueprint of success into the group and made the Beano Boyz Crew the first act signed to his label.
The Beano Boyz Crew are Darius, Thornell, Paris and Donald. Each of them fuses their dynamic street-dance moves with unique vocals to create a soundtrack of music that is the Sound of Young America.
